On 14 September 2026, the Foundation organized an Annadan Seva (Food Donation Drive) for approximately 151 homeless and underprivileged people living on the streets of Talegaon Dabhade and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The initiative was organized with the belief that festivals are not only about celebration and devotion but also about sharing happiness with those who need support. Through this food donation program in Talegaon Dabhade, the Foundation continued its commitment to social service and community welfare.

A Message of Humanity and Social Responsibility

The Foundation believes that social responsibility and community service should extend beyond special occasions. However, festivals provide an opportunity to bring people together and spread happiness among all sections of society.

The Ganeshotsav food donation drive was organized with the thought that no one should have to remain hungry during the festive season. The initiative also aimed to encourage greater awareness about compassion, dignity and social responsibility.

For Shivaji Shelar Memorial Foundation, Annadan Seva is not simply about providing food. It is an effort to connect with people, understand their needs and make them feel respected and included in society.

Leadership and Participation

The program was attended by Mrs. Lipika Avinash Shelar and Mrs. Minakshi Shelar, Directors of Lead Up International Preschool.

The initiative also received valuable support from Tanvi Shevkar, Meena Gadekar and the teaching staff of Lead Up International Preschool.

The successful implementation of the food donation program was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Aniruddha Shelar, Shraddha Shelar, Aarohi Gadekar, Anshul Shelar, Om Shevkar and Lahu Sonawane.

Students and parents also extended their support and participated in the initiative, making the program a meaningful example of community participation.

Shivaji Shelar Memorial Foundation – Working for Society

Shivaji Shelar Memorial Foundation is committed to undertaking meaningful social initiatives for the benefit of society. The Foundation works towards creating positive change through activities related to education, healthcare, women empowerment, environmental conservation and support for underprivileged communities.

Through initiatives such as food donation, educational support, health-related activities and environmental programs, the Foundation aims to encourage a culture of service and social responsibility.

The Foundation believes that meaningful social change can be created when individuals, families, educational institutions and community organizations come together.

Social Work in Talegaon Dabhade and Pimpri-Chinchwad

Talegaon Dabhade and Pimpri-Chinchwad are rapidly developing areas with diverse communities. Alongside development, there is a need for continued attention towards people who face economic and social difficulties.

Community-based initiatives such as food donation drives, educational assistance, healthcare programs and environmental activities can play an important role in supporting vulnerable sections of society.

The Annadan Seva in Talegaon Dabhade and Pimpri-Chinchwad is one such initiative aimed at contributing to the community in a meaningful way.

The Importance of Annadan Seva

Food is one of the most basic human needs. An Annadan Seva program provides immediate support while also creating awareness about hunger and social inequality.

A food donation drive can also encourage people to contribute in different ways—through volunteering, providing food, supporting charitable organizations or participating in community service.

The Ganeshotsav 2026 initiative by Shivaji Shelar Memorial Foundation demonstrates how a festival can become an opportunity for service, compassion and community participation.

A Collective Effort

One of the important aspects of this initiative was the involvement of people from different backgrounds.

The participation of the Foundation members, Lead Up International Preschool teachers, students and parents helped make the food donation program successful.

Such participation is important because social service becomes more meaningful when the community comes together. It also helps younger generations understand the importance of empathy, kindness, volunteering and civic responsibility.

Continuing the Tradition of Service

The Foundation has continued its tradition of organizing Annadan Seva during Ganeshotsav. The 2026 initiative provided food to approximately 151 people and strengthened the Foundation's commitment towards community welfare.

The organization intends to continue undertaking constructive and socially beneficial activities in the future, particularly in areas such as education, healthcare, environmental protection and support for underprivileged communities.

The Ganeshotsav 2026 Food Donation Drive organized by Shivaji Shelar Memorial Foundation was a meaningful celebration of devotion, humanity and social responsibility.

By providing food to approximately 151 homeless and underprivileged people in Talegaon Dabhade and Pimpri-Chinchwad, the Foundation shared the joy of Ganeshotsav with people who are often left on the margins of society.

The initiative carries a simple but powerful message:

Festivals become more meaningful when their happiness is shared with everyone.

Through continued Annadan Seva and social welfare initiatives, Shivaji Shelar Memorial Foundation remains committed to contributing to society and promoting the values of compassion, dignity and service.
